Enjoying a good lunch does not require you to go to some fancy restaurant. How can you possibly know if a restaurant is good or bad? A good quality restaurant is easily spotted because lots of locals or foreigners are eating there.
In Panama, you can find restaurants that adjust to every budget. Delicious food at a reasonable price or international cuisine food for other tastes. Depending on the level of restaurant, you may or may not opt to leave a tip. On mid-class restaurants the tip is optional - and usually people tend to leave 10% of the bill, on higher-end restaurants the tip is already included with the bill.
